Governmental Decree No. 16 amending Governmental Decree No. 19 “On approval of the Rules for issuing permits for access to the territorial waters (sea) and internal waters of the Republic of Kazakhstan of Kazakhstan low-size self-propelled and non-self-propelled (surface and underwater) vessels (vehicles) and vehicles on ice”.

This Governmental Decree extends the application of permits for access to the territorial waters (sea) and internal waters of the Republic of Kazakhstan of Kazakhstan low-size self-propelled and non-self-propelled (surface and underwater) vessels (vehicles) and vehicles on ice foreign vessels temporarily operating in the territorial waters (sea) and inland waters of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Government agencies and organizations that intend to conduct marine research and/or exploration activities in territorial waters (sea), when made through the portal of notification to the Border Guard Service additionally provide information on: (a) the nature and objectives of the project, the description of scientific equipment; (b) method and means to be used, including the name, type and class of accurate geographical data for the areas in which the project shall be conducted; (c) the date of arrival and departure of research vessels or, in appropriate cases, placement and removal of equipment; and (d) the name of the organization, manager or person responsible for the project.
