Abstract
In accordance with the Agreement, the Parties determined the passage of the line of state borders between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in the Caspian Sea, delimiting their territorial waters, and the demarcation lines of adjacent sections of fishing areas between Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in the Caspian Sea. The maritime state border line was constructed based on the average long-term level of the Caspian Sea equal to minus 28.0 meters in relation to the Baltic altitude system of 1977 relative to the zero of the Kronstadt footpole. The demarcation line for fishing areas was constructed from the end point of the marine state border. Any natural changes in terrain, including level fluctuations of the Caspian Sea, do not entail changes in the passage of the state border and the demarcation line of fishing areas.
