Law No. 184-VII “On amendments and addenda to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues of flora and protected areas”.

Article 4 of the Forest Code (No.477-II of 2003) shall be amended to add the following wording: “Biological diversity shall be intended the variability of living organisms from all sources, including terrestrial, marine and other aquatic ecological systems and ecological complexes of which they are part, including diversity within species, between species and diversity of ecological systems". Article 38 of the Forest Code (No.477-II of 2003) shall be amended to add the following wording: “Final felling in areas of the state forest fund shall be performed reforestation within three years on an area equal to twice the size of the felled area for coniferous and hardwood species, one-time size of the felled area for soft-leaved species, in in accordance with the forest management project”. Article 69 of the Forest Code (No.477-II of 2003) shall be amended to add the following wording: “Guidance of extinguishing forest fires, regardless of the forces involved and funds are carried out by an official of the state forest protection service”. Article 160 of Environmental Code (Law No. 400-VI ZRK) shall be amended to add the following wording: “State monitoring of flora, shall be carried out in accordance with legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of conservation, protection, restoration and use of flora”. Article 249 of Environmental Code (Law No. 400-VI ZRK) shall be amended to add the following wording: “Introduction of plants is carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of protection, protection, restoration and use of flora”. Article 1 of Law No. 175-3 on protected areas shall be supplemented with the following wording: “Introduction shall be intended the deliberate or accidental transfer of plant species beyond the limits of their natural growing area and animals outside their natural habitat”. Annex 2 of Law No. 202-V ZRK “On permits and notifications” shall be supplemented with notification of procurement (collection) of wild growing plants for pharmaceutical, alimentary and technical needs.
