Law No.197 of 2001 on consumer co-operative.

The present Law determines legal status of consumer cooperatives, organizational, economic and social conditions of their setting up, functioning, reorganization and liquidation, rights and duties of their members, plenary powers and liability of managing bodies and control. The document consists of 6 sections that contain 40 articles. Section 1 (arts. 1-8) lays down general provisions. Section 2 (arts. 9-12) regards setting up consumer cooperative. Section 3 (arts. 13-16) regards membership of consumer cooperative. Section 4 (arts. 17-24) regards managing bodies of consumer cooperative. Section 5 (arts. 25-34) regards property of consumer cooperative. Section 6 (arts. 35-40) regards reorganization and liquidation of consumer cooperative.
