Ministerial Decree No. 141 validating the Regulation on main use felling in public forest.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities, terms and methods of felling within state forest fund and it shall be mandatory for all forest owners and forest users. The main tasks of felling within state forest fund shall be: (a) continuous and inexhaustible forest management and rational use of forest resources; (b) increase of sustainability and productivity of forests and of their protection functions; (c) conservation and reproduction of forests through afforestation of felling areas with precious forest species; (d) timely turnover of mature timber; and (e) ensuring provision with timber through forest resources. This Regulation consists of 6 Chapters: (1) basic provisions; (2) preparation and carrying out timber extraction on the plots of state forest fund; (3) general provisions; (4) main use felling in plain forests and hummock bog forests pertaining to state forest fund; (5) main use felling in mountain forests pertaining to state forest fund; and (6) intermediate felling on the plots of state forest fund. Timber extraction within state forest fund shall be carried out through main use felling, intermediate felling and miscellaneous felling.
