Ministerial Decree No. 144 validating the Regulation on state inspection of the use of water resources.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of state inspection by the authorized water, environmental, subsoil, sanitary and epidemiological, and also by veterinary and phytosanitary institutions within their sphere of competence of the use and protection of water resources. The objects of inspection shall be: (a) observance of the boundaries of water conservation zones; (b) observance of terms and conditions of international agreements on transboundary waters; (c) observance of rates of water abstraction and water consumption; (d) observance of the operational rules for waterworks; and (e) observance of water monitoring requirements regarding registration of surface water and groundwater.
