Abstract
The Committee on Water Resources is an institution within the sphere of competence of the Ministry entitled with the task of carrying out special executive functions, and also inter-departmental coordination in the sphere of management of water resources. The main tasks of the Committee are: 1) participation in the elaboration and implementation of the state policy in the sphere of management and protection of water resources, the program of development of water industry, rational management and protection of water resources; 2) state control over management and protection of water resources, compliance with the conditions of special water use of surface water; 3) regulation of water supply for domestic purposes, protection of water against pollution, choking up and exhaustion, improvement of the state of rivers, lakes and water reservoirs; 4) improvement of the economic mechanism of the use of water resources. The Regulation consists of 5 Sections. Section 1 lays down general provisions. Section 2 establishes targets, functions and plenary powers of the Committee. Section 3 regards property of the Committee. Section 4 regards organization of activity of the Committee. Section 5 regards reorganization and liquidation of the Committee.
