Ministerial Decree No. 561 validating the Regulation on transfer of unforested areas to forested areas in public forest.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the procedure for transfer of unforested areas to forested areas in public forest by state owner. The following categories of unforested land areas (felling sites, burnt forest areas, dead stand and glades), where afforestation and reforestation arrangements have been performed, contributing to natural reforestation or natural regeneration of the forest, and unforested land areas recognized as forestable, if they are forested with forest species or their natural reforestation occurred. The objective of this Ministerial Decree shall be to promote timely conversion to forested and natural forested land of reforested plantations when they reach certain quality levels and quantitative parameters depending on the natural zone. Transfer of unforested land areas to forested areas shall be performed in accordance with ongoing surveys and inventory of the aforesaid areas by forestry institutions.
