Order of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 10, 2022 No. 189 On approval of the Methodology for creating electronic geobotanical maps.

Electronic geobotanical map shall be intended a map of information (data) of geobotanical research, representing information on the vegetation cover of a certain territory, indicating their productivity and cultural and technical condition in electronic format. An electronic geobotanical map is created in a GIS. The GIS database contains information on the boundaries of rural districts and data on natural fodder lands (vegetation cover structure, typological composition of the geobotanical contour, territorial distribution of land types, areas, productivity, forage quality, cultural and technical condition, modern use of natural forage lands, the possibility of their rational use and improvement). The process of creating an electronic geobotanical map consists of the following activities: (a) preparation of source materials, including the collection of information on previously completed work on a specific area of the terrain to create electronic cartographic information in order to prevent duplication of processes when creating an electronic geobotanical map, systematization and analysis of the collected information (data) on the coverage of the territory; (b) vectorization of geobotanical contours and formation of a database of electronic geobotanical maps; and (c) design of a vectorized electronic geobotanical map.
