Order No. 131 of the Ministry of Agriculture validating the Regulation on quarantine phytosanitary requirements.

These quarantine phytosanitary requirements apply to regulated products (regulated goods, regulated materials, regulated commodities) subject to quarantine phytosanitary control and supervision, as well as regulated objects and are aimed at preventing the import and distribution of quarantine objects. Movement (transportation) of regulated products contaminated with quarantine objects and (or) alien species included in the list of quarantine objects and alien species shall be prohibited. In the process of transportation of regulated products as packaging material shall be used wood packaging material, completely manufactured of thin wood (no more than six millimeters thick), cardboard, paper, textile, polymeric materials that cannot be carriers of quarantine objects, as well as wood packaging material, which corresponds to of these quarantine phytosanitary requirements. Seed (in the form of seeds or fruits) and planting material (in the form of seedlings) must be free of quarantine objects, including quarantine weeds. Seed material (in the form of seeds and fruits) must be harvested in areas free from plants of the genus Striga (Striga spp.). Planting material (in the form of seedlings) must be free from plants of the genus dodder (Cuscuta spp.). Lots (part of the lot) of seed and planting material shall be transported in packages in the presence of labelling containing information about product description, country of origin, place and (or) production site, exporter. Seeds and planting material without the indicated labelling and (or) unpackaged shall be prohibited for transportation.
