Order No. 179 of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources validating the Regulation for the use of animals in cultural and entertainment purposes and keeping thereof.

This Regulation for the use of animals in cultural and entertainment purposes and keeping thereof determines the procedure for the use of animals for cultural entertainment purposes and keeping thereof. Wild animals shall be intended animals whose natural habitat is the wild environment, including those kept in captivity and (or) semi-free conditions. Activities involving the use of animals for cultural and entertainment purposes is carried out in places where they are kept, in buildings, structures specially designed for this purpose and in separate territories. The owner of the keeping facilities ensures regular cleaning, including clearing them of waste and animal waste products, taking into account the observance of safety measures by the employees performing such cleaning. The owner of the place of keeping approves a cleaning plan for the premises, which ensures the frequency of cleaning and disinfection. Water supply is carried out from a centralized network of household and drinking water use, and in its absence - from the internal water supply. All sewerage devices are located out of the reach of animals. The owner of the keeping area approves the feed ration and feeding regime for the animals compiled by the livestock specialist. Animals are fed at least once a day, unless otherwise provided for in their diet.
