Abstract
This Methodology establishes that in order to carry out land monitoring, a territorial-zonal network of observation points for land conditions shall be formed. The territorial-zonal monitoring network is formed by regions in accordance with the administrative-territorial division of the country and natural zones on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Land monitoring is carried out on agricultural lands of all categories and is carried out on agricultural land. In terms of composition, monitoring of agricultural land is divided into: (a) monitoring of soil fertility of agricultural land; (b) monitoring of the state of vegetation cover of natural pasture land. As part of monitoring the soil fertility of agricultural land, changes in soil fertility are monitored (desertification, development of water and wind erosion, soil dehumification, decrease in nutrients, alkalinization, waterlogging, flooding). Monitoring of agricultural land soils is carried out in three periods: 1) preparatory period; 2) field period; 3) office period. Observations at test sites are carried out in order to obtain information about annual reserves of pasture feed and prompt preparation of seasonal maps of productivity of natural pasture land.
