Order No. 265 of the acting Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources validating base rates for calculating the amount of damage caused by violation of the forestry legislation.

This Order establishes liability for illegal timber extraction and theft of timber by natural and legal persons. In the following cases: (a) illegal logging, damage to trees and bushes to the extent of stopping the growth thereof and theft of wood in protected areas, the base rates of this section are doubled; (b) damage to trees and shrubs not to the point of stopping growth, in particular in protected areas, the base rates in this case apply without changes, outside these areas - reduced by half; and (c) in case of illegal cutting of trees and shrubs, theft of windbreak wood, wind-thrown, fire-damaged trees, basic rates apply.
