Order No. 321 of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources validating the Methodology for assessing environmental impact in areas of falling of separated parts of launch vehicles.

This Methodology determines the procedure and mechanism for assessing the impact on the environment in the areas where separated parts of launch vehicles fall. The development of an environmental impact assessment is carried out by natural persons and (or) legal entities licensed to perform works and provision of services in the field of environmental protection. Conducting environmental impact assessments in areas of falling of separated parts of launch vehicles includes: (a) preparatory work for environmental impact assessment; (b) planning environmental impact assessment; and (c) the final stage of environmental impact assessment. The final stage of environmental impact assessment includes: (a) analysis and evaluation of the data obtained; (b) involvement of specialists and experts in the work; (c) development of recommendations based on the results of the environmental impact assessment; (d) analysis of the possibility of implementing the proposed recommendations together with customer; (e) preparation and presentation to the customer of a report on the results of the environmental impact assessment; and (f) participation in drawing up an action plan based on the results of the implementation of the environmental impact assessment. The result of the environmental impact assessment is the assessment project with a conclusion about the admissibility of the impact of the planned rocket and space activities on the environment.
