Order No. 7-1/496 of the Minister of Agriculture validating the Regulation on transportation (transfer) of livestock, poultry, bees, veterinary drugs, feed additives and products of animal origin.

This Order establishes the procedure for transportation (transfer) by all means of transport of livestock, poultry, bees, veterinary drugs and products of animal origin. Import and transportation of veterinary drugs and of chemical and microbiological synthesis shall be performed without accompanying veterinary certificate, but with accompanying document confirming their quality and safety, issued by the producer. Means of transport shall be subject to mandatory disinfection. In case of transportation of livestock and poultry the shipper shall provide them with water, good quality feedstuffs and bedding. Territorial state veterinary and sanitary inspectors shall perform inspection in the places of loading, unloading and along transportation routes under their jurisdiction. Livestock shall be delivered to the place of loading (railway station, port, quay (wharf)) not later than 3 hours before the beginning of loading and are subject to veterinary inspection by an inspector, a doctor of the relevant territory. The inspector and the doctor shall determine the state of health of the animals, as well as the possibility of their transportation. Livestock watering shall be performed at least twice a day in winter and at least three times a day in summer. Transportation (transfer) of live fish, crustaceans, mollusks, invertebrates, hydrobionts and other aquatic animals, impregnated roe shall be performed in a specially adapted for this purpose tank. Transportation of foodstuffs of animal origin shall be performed in compliance with technical regulations related to transportation of meat (the order in which the meat is stacked or suspended, temperature conditions, and the operation of the cooling system).
