Order No. 724 of the Minister on investments and development validating the Technical Regulation “Labelling requirements for produce”.

This Order establishes general requirements for labelling of produce. Technical Regulation shall be applicable to domestic and imported commodities, as well as to commodities manufactured in the Eurasian Economic Union, traded on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and shall not apply to the relations established by international treaties and legislative acts of the Eurasian Economic Union, including commodities subject to technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union (Customs Union). The provisions of the Technical Regulation are subject to application in the design (including survey), production, construction, installation, adjustment, operation, storage, transportation, trade and disposal of products, state control over compliance with requirements established by technical regulations, as well as in case of confirmation of conformity. Manufacturer (producer) and/or supplier at the time of product release into circulation provides complete, necessary, unambiguous and reliable information about it, that avoids deception and misleading of consumers as to composition, properties and purpose, manufacturer (producer) and (or) supplier, storage, transportation, operation conditions, utilization, method of manufacturing (production) and use (application), date of manufacturing (production), energy consumption (for energy consuming equipment), origin, period of suitability, weight, volume, quantity, and other information directly or indirectly describing quality and safety of products and ensuring that they can be selected correctly.
