Order No. 80 of the Acting Minister of Agriculture validating the Regulation for assessing breeding animals - producers for the quality of their offspring.

This Regulation establishes the procedure for assessing breeding animals - producers for the quality of their offspring. Breeding value shall be intended the level of breeding traits being selected in animal and the possibility of their transmission to offspring. Assessment of breeding animals - producers for the quality of offspring is carried out by breeding centers in farms where breeding registration is carried out in accordance with the information of selection and breeding work. Breeding bulls are subject to assessment for the quality of offspring meat productivity. The forecast of breeding value of breeding bulls tested for the quality of offspring (milk productivity of female offspring) is carried out according to the following selection characteristics: milk yield (kilogram (hereinafter - kg); fat content in milk (in percent); amount of milk fat (kg); protein content in milk (%); amount of milk protein (kg). For each evaluated breeding ram - sire, at least 100 (one hundred) heads of first-class ewes are allocated, so that at weaning, at least 50 (fifty) heads of offspring are obtained from each ram - sire. Evaluation of breeding horses of the productive composition of the productive direction according to the quality of the offspring produced for the entire offspring obtained: (a) for stallions – at least two bets of 10 (ten) or more heads; and (b) for mares - at least two heads of tested breeding foals.
