Presidential Decree No. 986 validating Anti-corruption Strategy for the period of 2015-2025.

Anti-corruption Strategy for the period of 2015-2025 is a nationwide multi-sectoral policy document aimed at improvement of the efficiency of the national anti-corruption policy, involvement in anti-corruption movement of the whole society by creating an atmosphere of “zero” tolerance for any manifestation of corruption and a decrease in the level of corruption in Kazakhstan.
Target indicators of the Strategy shall be as follows: (a) quality of public services; (b) public confidence in the institutions of state power; (c) improvement of legal culture of the population; and (d) increasing the country's prestige in the international community and improving relevant international ratings, including the rating of Kazakhstan in Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index.
Objectives of the Strategy shall be as follows: (a) anti-corruption in the field of public service; (b) introduction of the institution of public control; (c) anti-corruption in the quasi-public and private sector; (c) prevention of corruption in courts and law enforcement agencies; (d) formation of anti-corruption culture; and (e) development of international cooperation on countering corruption.
