Resolution No. 77-r of the Premier “On constitution of the Council on biological safety.”

This Resolution establishes that the Council on biological safety is consultative and advisory body under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The main task of the Council is to develop proposals on issues of biosafety. The functions of the Council shall be as follows: (a) consideration and preparation of proposals to improve the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan regulating issues of biological safety, development of fundamental and applied science, equipment and technologies in the field of biological safety; and (b) consideration of topical issues and elaboration of proposals for solving problems in the field of biological safety.
