Abstract
This Decision from the establishes mandatory regulations to control the concentration of lead in paint and coating products manufactured in or imported to Laos. It sets a maximum lead content limit of 90 ppm to protect human health and the environment. Manufacturers and importers must obtain certification from independent laboratories—meeting ASTM or ISO standards—and retain these records for at least five years for inspection. The Ministry’s Department of Pollution Control is tasked with monitoring compliance and coordinating inspections.
