Abstract
This Decision determines the types, species, forms and sizes of timber products to serve as a reference for managing and promoting timber processing in the direction of industrialization and modernization, with the aim of ensuring that timber products meet standards and contribute to the socio-economic development of the country. It establishes clear product groups—such as sawn wood, semi-processed wood, finished wood products, plywood, joinery pieces, furniture, and handicrafts—along with detailed size specifications and descriptions. These classifications ensure consistent administration of timber processing, transport permits, export procedures, and taxation.
The Decision sets rules for documentation, inspection, and compliance with technical standards to prevent illegal logging and misclassification. It also instructs relevant ministries and provincial authorities to enforce regulations, verify product categories, and ensure that timber processing aligns with national forest-protection policies.
