Decree of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment no. 389 of 2022 on environmental impact assessment.

This Ministerial Decree, based on the provisions of the Law no. 29/SNP of 2012 on environmental protection, provides for defining the environmental impact assessment, as a process of research, study, survey and data analysis, in order to avoid and reduce negative impacts on the environment. The Decree defines the following relevant terms: natural environment; restoration of the environment; protection of the environment; environmental planning and monitoring. Matters covered by the Decree include: types of environmental impact assessment and preliminary reports; conditions for issuing an environmental certificate; rights and duties of the Department of natural resources and the environment.
