This Instruction provides for the registration of forest plantations and the certification of planted timber in Laos. It aims to formalize timber ownership, verify the source of wood products, and facilitate the commercial use, transport, and export of planted timber.
The Instruction applies to individuals, legal entities, and organizations intending to plant trees for commercial, household, or public benefit. It defines two main processes: Plantation Registration (for systematic plots of at least 1,600 m²) and Timber Certification (for smaller or scattered plantings).
