Ministerial Order No.0369 on Inspection and Management of Animal Feed Quality.

This Ministerial Order provides for supervising the quality of animal feed produced, processed, and distributed within Laos. It aims to protect the livestock industry and consumer health by ensuring that all feed products meet national technical standards. The mandate requires provincial agricultural departments and business operators to cooperate in monitoring the supply chain to prevent the use of substandard or contaminated materials that could harm animal productivity.
The Order prohibits the use of expired raw materials, prohibited antibiotics, and hormonal stimulants in feed production. It mandates that the Department of Livestock and Fisheries conduct laboratory analysis and issue quality certifications for all commercial feed products. Furthermore, it holds manufacturers legally liable for any damages caused to farmers by poor-quality feed and requires all distributed products to carry clear trademarks and official certification labels.
