With a view to promote the quality of food to be introduced into and exported from the Lao PDR, the Provisions regulate the issuance of a permit for the export or import of foodstuffs, the checks to be carried out at the custom check-points and make restrictions on the trade of certain products listed in Part IV, article 8.
