Abstract
This Regulation, consisting of five Sections, establishes the requirements for Product and Goods Registration. Registration is recognized as a quality standard. Government organizations, communities, and private persons, producing products and goods (if those products are not yet standardized) may use a formulating standard mark, submitting an application for product registration to the Science Technology and Environment Agency. To organizations and person who have submitted an application for product registration will be granted a temporary quality certificate (protected and assisted) from the Standards Management Body for improving the quality and formulating standards. The Regulation is divided as follows: General Requirement (I); Rule (Codes) for Registration of Product and Goods (II); Principles for Consideration of Products and Goods Registration (III); Certification of Product and Goods Registration (IV); Implementation (V).

This Regulation enters into force on the day of its signature.
Notes
Based on the following: Prime Minister’s Decree No. 85/PM, dated 02 November 1995 on the Management of Products and Goods; Requirements on promotion and facilitation for domestic production in improving of quality and standards of product to be able competition at the domestic and foreign market; Needs to revise some articles of the regulation on the registration of products and goods No. 228/STEA, dated 14/2/1996 which are no longer suitable with present practice situation.
