Abstract
The aim of this Memorandum is to strength the cooperation between the Parties in the field of standardization, metrology, laboratories and quality systems. It is composed of 12 articles. Articles 1 to 10 deal with fields of cooperation between both Countries, which are: to work for the realization of the conformity in standards and metrology for the exchanged commodities; to work for the realization of the reciprocal recognition of procedures and measures for the conformity certifications and valuation; to lay down detail procedures for the issuance of certificates of conformity; to prepare a list of exchanged commodities and goods between the Parties; to develop a programme concerning the comparison laboratory for the standardization equipment and instruments; to unify quality management systems and tests; to exchange information, experiences, research and studies related to standardization and metrology; and, to cooperate in the development and creation of laboratories for standards and quality control. Articles 11 and 12 pertain to the implementation and entry into force of the Agreement.
