Circular No. 9/1 of 2005 prohibiting the use of residues of poultry slaughterhouses for feeding pigs.

The aim of this This Circular is to protec pigs against diseases. This Circular is composed of 4 articles. Use of residues of poultry slaughterhouses and poultry farms for feeding pigs is absolutely prohibited (art. 1). All pig farms that are not compatible with the provisions of this Circular shall be closed and the pigs shall be destroyed at the owner's expense (art. 2). Article 3 entrusts the Regional Departments of the Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with the local authorities (mayors, prefects, administrative officers) to implement this Circular.
