Abstract
Article 2 has been amended as follows: (a) the licence for the exploitation of stone quarries shall be issued for sites indicated in the attached map; (b) the licence for the exploitation of industrial sand spades, ornamental stone quarries and mosaic will be issued by a Resolution of the National Council for Stone Quarries; (c) the licence for the exploitation of sites outside the aforementioned map shall be issued by a Resolution of the Cabinet. Article 3 has been amended as follows: the exploitation, investment and establishment of stone quarries are subject to a previous licence issued by the Prefect upon the approval of the National Council for Stone Quarries. Amendments to article 28 include the interruption of works in all stone quarries and sand spades until the completion of all technical and legal steps. Article 29 has been amended as follows: the importation of the aforementioned materials shall be carried out without taxes on condition that materials are compatible with Lebanese Standardization and Metrology standards.
