Decree No.11949 identifying and classifying the site of El Kasarat grotto in Nabay village in Matn District as a natural site.

This Decree consisting of 5 articles aims at identifying El Kasarat grotto as one of the Lebanese natural sites placed under the tutelage of the Ministry of Environment. The protection covers a radius of 300 meters around the site. In this area is prohibited any kind of investments and/or buildings. The Ministry shall establish the conditions to grant permission for any establishment or work and if a Study Impact Assessment shall be necessary to grant the permission.
