Decree No.3989 of 2016 on the establishment of an Environmental Police, its mandate, staffing, and organization.

This Decree consisting of 11 articles aims at establishing officers for monitoring function to persecute environmental crimes. They will follow a six-month training course dealing with environmental texts, crimes, environmental damage, environmental pollution control assets, including information on how to detect the location of the environmental crime and how to deal with environmental disasters.
The Decree deals also with the conditions to be employed.
