Decree No.8157 of 2012 establishing the National Council for the Environment (NCE) and determining its functions and organization.

This Decree consisting of 11 articles aims at creating the National Council for the Environment thus implementing art.4 of the Environmental Protection Law No.444 of 2002. The NCE, chaired by the Minister of Environment, is responsible for the review and approval of the proposed policies-work plans and for securing and approving required budgets. Art. 4 lists in details the tasks of the NCE at political, technical, legislative and administrative level.
