Resolution No. 165/2T of 2003 establishing the Fisheries Cooperative for fishing, shellfish fishing and coast protection in the province of Jabal Lubnan.

This Resolution provides for the establishment of the Fisheries Cooperative for fish fishing, shellfish fishing and coast protection in the District of Alya located in the Province of Jabal Lubnan with a validity of 99 years, head seat in Ashueifat and a capital of Lebanese Lira (LL) 1,200,000. The objectives of this Cooperative are: (a) to improve the social and economic position of its members; (b) to guarantee a centre for keeping equipment, instruments and vessels; (c) vessels' maintenance; (d) to guarantee the modern equipment for fishing such as nets, gear and vessels as well as aid poor fishermen and guarantee them an occupation; (e) to protect the coast; and, (f) products marketing.
