Resolution No. 221/1 of 2022 banning the Import, Circulation, and Use of Colistin in the Veterinary Sector in Lebanon.

This Resolution consisting of 5 articles aims at banning the import and circulation of Colistin (an antibiotic medication) preparations or any other preparations containing Colistin in the field of veterinary medicine. The Resolution attaches a list of veterinary medicines registered in the Ministry of Agriculture to which the prohibition is in particular directed. Article 2 prohibits the use of the aforementioned medicines on livestock, horses, poultry and other animals. The contravention of the provisions of this Resolution shall be considered a violation against public health and environmental safety (art.3).
