Resolution No. 26 of 2021 subjecting table grapes, apples, citrus fruits and almonds to tests for pesticide residues after the picking process or in packaging centers.

This Resolution, comprising 14 articles, mandates that exporters or farmers intending to export products such as grapes, apples, almonds, and citrus fruits must register with internationally accredited control companies approved by the Ministry of Agriculture. These approved companies will collect samples of the goods, whether packed in the field or packaging centers, and send them to a laboratory accredited by the Ministry of Agriculture. The laboratory will conduct pesticide residue analyses on the samples and provide the results within a maximum period of four working days. An official product conformity certificate for pesticide deposit tests will be issued to the interested party for goods intended for export. Export of the specified products without the accompanying certificate of conformity is prohibited. Export of products is allowed if they do not exceed the permitted percentages of pesticide residues outlined in the standards issued by the European Union. If the analysis results indicate the presence of pesticides not registered with the Ministry of Agriculture, the laboratory conducting the analysis will notify the drug control committees in the relevant regions, and appropriate procedures will be implemented. Article 12 establishes a technical committee responsible for creating a unified operational mechanism with internationally accredited monitoring companies, following the provisions outlined in this Resolution.
