Abstract
This Resolution is composed of 15 articles. Bringing in Lebanon or taking out of plants, plant parts and products without the authorization of the officers of quarantine are prohibited. Bringing in Lebanon soil, live insects, bacteriaculture and parasiteculture harmful and noxious to plants as well as agricultural consignments are prohibited. Every agricultural consignment authorized to be exported must be accompanied with a sanitary certificate reliable and compatible with the International Agreement of 1951 on the Protection of Plants. The Quarantine Apparatus will be carry out the sterilization, ridding of pests and cleaning of the infected consignment on the condition that the estimation of the infection is to be according to the percentage defined in the list of quarantine. The cost of the all aforementioned operations is at importer expense. The Ministry of Agriculture issues the list of the prohibited plants, plant products and diseases as well as the requirements necessary for the agricultural consignments. Transgressors will be punished by Law of 10 June 1948. All the incompatible texts with this Resolution are now abrogated.
