Resolution No. 291/1 of 1998 establishing the use of the drag net.

In order to protect the marine resources, this Resolution aims at define the zones of using the drag net. Use of drag net is not allowed in the zones of fish reproduction. Drag net can be used for migratory fish after one kilometre from the fixed lines. Use of drag net in depth less than 35 fathoms is absolutely prohibited. Categorical interdiction of use of drag net, day and night, from 1 July until 31 August of every year. A net which is higher than 30 fathoms is to be considered a drag net. Categorical interdiction of drag net if the mesh size is more than 20 millimetres. All texts incompatible with this Resolution are now abrogated.
