Resolution No. 529/1 of 2023: Formation of the National Committee to study and evaluate the official correspondence stipulated in Resolution No. 528/1 of 2023 regarding phytosanitary measures to prevent the entry and spread of fruit flies when importing types of fruit susceptible to infection with them.

This Resolution, comprising four articles, is designed to establish a Commission within the Ministry of Agriculture. The primary responsibilities of this Commission include: (i) assessing the certification for imported fruits to guarantee freedom from fruit flies; (ii) compiling an approved correspondence schedule to be distributed to all quarantine centers at the borders; and (iii) implementing necessary measures in the event of non-compliance by any country with the provisions outlined in Resolution 258.
