Abstract
This Resolution consisting of 6 article aims to outline the maximum allowable levels of trans-fatty acids in food items meant for human consumption, excluding naturally occurring trans fats found in fats of animal origin. Under article 3, the percentage of trans fats in foods is limited to a maximum of 2% of the total fat content (2 grams/100 grams of fat). Any internationally approved reference method is used to analyze the content of trans-fatty acids in food (article 4). Article 5 establishes in paricular that (i) the type of oils used must be declared in the list of ingredients, whether they are fully or partially hydrogenated; (ii) trans-fatty acid content must be disclosed when it surpasses 0.5 grams per serving of food. In such instances, nutritional information should be presented based on both the portion size and per 100 grams.

Entry into force notes
This Resolution enters into force six months after its publication in the Official Gazzerre, except for the article regarding labeling, which shall be effective one year from the date of the publication.
