Abstract
This Resolution amends articles 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Resolution No. 98/1 of 29 February 1996. Article 1 is amended as follows: (a) concentrated feeds are those which include all spiced feeds like oil cake, bone meal, meat meal, blood meal, fish meal, dense mineral salts and dense vitamins; (b) compound feeds are those which include, besides the concentrated feeds, different percentages of mixture of cereals as wheat, millet, barley, sieve and vetch. Article 2 is amended as follows: importation of feed and feedstuffs is allowed without a previous license on the condition that they shall be accompanied with the analysis certificate issued from the country of origin. Article 3 is amended as the follows: (a) importation of meat meal and bone meal is allowed from countries free from Bovine Spongiform Encephala Apathy in accordance with OIE; (b+c) these materials must be prepared and produced by authorized industries, and to be subject to periodic control by the Veterinary authorities as well as to be accompanied with sanitary certificate, license and registration certificate of the industry. Article 4 is amended as follows: importation of feed and feedstuffs which contain antimony, arsenic, hormones and pesticides more than the international standards is prohibited.
