Abstract
This Act, divided into seven parts, focuses on regulating the maintenance, control, equitable distribution and the price of goods, including: produce, wares, merchandise, moveable property and animals. The Act concerns: measures for ensuring the fair distribution of any goods and requisitioning of goods; disposal of goods and payment of compensation to the person in possession, or having control of the goods; establishment of the prices commission and specification of its duties, including: assisting the Minister on matters relating to the control of prices of goods, and receiving complaints relating to price of goods; receipt and investigation of complaints; Ministerial power to establish and fix the price of any goods on the market; administrative matters; offences; liability; enforcement measures.
