Abstract
These Regulations concerns the following matters: appointment of chief electrical inspector; standard of wiring buildings; notification of intention to work on new installation; inspection certificate of approval on completion of new installation; periodical inspection; report of serious accident; special earthing requirements for buildings; materials to be used for line conductors; standards of construction of high voltage transmission lines; protection against excess energy; safety precautions; qualification for licences.

Consolidated version, as last amended by S.I. 3/1995 in force 14 January 1995.These Regulations were made under section 45 of the Electricity Supply Act, 1964, which was repealed by the Electricity Supply Act of 1994. The Regulations are continued in force by section 67 of the repealing Act.
