Abstract
This Act prohibits (i) to steal the whole or any part of any agricultural produce in any place, (ii) to steal, cut, break, up root or otherwise destroy or damage the whole of any agricultural produce in any place, (iii) to steal any agricultural produce at any stage in the process of manufacture, and (iv) to dishonestly receive or unlawfully obtain any agricultural produce which has been stolen or otherwise unlawfully obtained. This Act sets forth provisions on the offence of praedial larceny, procedures of investigation, and compensation for perishable agricultural produce. The Minister responsible for Agriculture may make regulations for the implementation of the provisions of this Act.
