Proclamation for Declaration of State of Emergency (S.I. No. 39 of 2020).

This Proclamation of the Governor General of Saint Lucia declares that a state of emergency exists for the purposes of Chapter 1 of the Constitution of Saint Lucia as a result of the occurrence of COVID-19. Section 17(1) of the Constitution of Saint Lucia empowers the Governor General to declare such emergency, whereas section 17(2) specified when such declaration may be taken.
