Abstract
These Regulations, made under section 9 of the Public Health Act, Cap. 11.01 concern trade activities that may result offensive or hazardous for public health, including: chicken farming, pig farming, slaughtering of animals or poultry, poultry farming, manufacturing of gases and other hazardous chemicals, fat rendering and extracting, manufacturing of material for manure or fertiliser purposes, fish processing, waste recycling activities, and other activities that may adversely impact public health. The Regulations cover the following matters: restriction on carrying on of offensive or hazardous trade; application for a licence; approval of a plan for trade, including measures for disposal of hazardous waste and water supply; inspection of premises; hygiene and sanitary requirements; offences and penalties.
