Public Procurement and Asset Disposal (Amendment) Act, no. 13 of 2020.

This Act amends the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act of 2015, by deleting words mentioning asset disposal from the long title; by adding new definitions and terms concerning compliance, consultancy services, national and international competitive tendering. Part 1 of the original Act is amended by adding a new Division concerning functions and powers of the Minister and other governmental offices, including: formulating policies and directives relating to public procurement, appointment of the members of the Board and the Steering Committee, issuing guidelines for implementing the Act, delegation of powers, maintaining a list of register of all public procurement contracts awarded; further amendments of Part 1 concern the insertion of a new section regarding evaluation of works contract by consultant. Part 2 of the original Act is amended as follows: insertion of new division on public procurement procedures for goods, works and services. Part 5 of the original Act is repealed and the Schedule 1 is replaced with a new one.
