The Water and Sewerage (Water Resource Management) Regulations. Statutory Instrument no. 7 of 2009.

These Regulations, made in pursuance to section 97 of the Water and Sewerage Act, no. 14 of 2005, provide for defining measures concerning watershed management plan, and sewerage. The Regulations concern: inventory of water resources and collection of data concerning the characteristics, quality and use of water; recording of rainfall; power of inspection any watercourse and related structures; compensation in case of loss, damage or injury caused by the inspection; development of watershed management plans and provisions concerning the protection of the environment, the designation of a protected area; coordination of the Water Resources Management Agency with other government agencies; public participation; declaration of protected areas; assessment of demand for potable water and of related supply; water related emergencies.
