Abstract
The present Ordinance implements the Animal Protection Act of 23 September 2010 and the Directive 98/34/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 June 1998 laying down a procedure for the provision of information in the field of technical standards and regulations. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to protection of animals during breedings. In particular, article 1 establishes that who breeds animals, must be aware of the negative impact that genetic resources can have on animals. Article 3 lists the various categories of negative impacts. The text consists of 11 articles as follows: Subject, sphere of application and designation (1); Responsibilities when breeding (2); Negative impact classes (3); Assigment of an animal to a negative implact class (4); Negative impact assessment (5); Use of animals (6); Documentation for animals of negative impact class 2 (7); Information of customer (8); Ban on breeding (9); Prohibited breeding forms (10); Notification according to Directive 98/34/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.
