Abstract
This Ordinance establishes a legal framework for designating and managing intensive hunting areas in Liechtenstein. The ordinance aims to mitigate wildlife-induced damage in protective forests by allowing for intensified wildlife management in specified zones. It outlines criteria for the selection of such areas and assigns responsibilities for their oversight and maintenance. The text provides on the variants that qualifes an are as an intensive hunting area including quality and quantity of forest regeneration, wildlife population and the impact of wildlife on forest regeneration. The assessment of a specific area's suitability for wildlife regulation, considering habitat and seasonal use, is conducted by the Office for the Environment. Intensive hunting areas and their associated alternative habitats are listed in the annex, with a hunting concept defining who conducts hunting and deterrence measures, ensuring all actions are well-coordinated.
