Population Protection Act.

The present Act regulates inter alia: a) the preparation, implementation and financing of measures to protect the population and their livelihoods in normal, special and extraordinary situations; and b) the organization and competences in the field of civil protection. The text consists of 52 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Organization and competences (II); Operating resources and infrastructure (III); Particular areas of civil protection (IV); Auxiliary duties of the population and requisition (V); Liability of the government and the municipalities (VI); Insurance cover (VII); Financing (VIII); Legal remedies (IX); Penalties (X); Transitional and final provisions (XI).
